The Euphoria star posted images wearing a vintage Christian Dior by John Galliano minidress, captured by her friend Amber Asaly. The absence of her engagement ring in the shots has drawn attention amid swirling rumors about her relationship status.
Sweeney has been sharing moments from her girls’ trip to Tanzania, including a recent photo of her floating in a pool in a swimsuit, also taken by Asaly. She has yet to publicly comment on the state of her relationship.
According to insiders, Sweeney and Davino, who have been together for over seven years, have experienced ongoing difficulties. One source told People that “things have been rocky for a long time,” while another revealed to Us Weekly that the couple is not fully split but facing significant challenges.
Their planned wedding, originally scheduled for spring 2025, has reportedly been canceled, with Sweeney feeling overwhelmed by the stress. “Sydney wanted to cancel everything and couldn’t handle the stress,” the source said.
Earlier in 2024, the couple endured a “rough patch” due to Sweeney’s busy filming schedule and extended periods of long-distance, which caused tension but was managed with compromises.
With five upcoming projects, including the next season of Euphoria, Sweeney’s demanding career leaves little downtime, contributing to the strain in her relationship.
