Greece has secured its place among the top wedding destinations on TikTok for engaged couples in the UK, according to a recent analysis conducted by online gaming platform Slingo.
By examining social media activity, Slingo identified the most popular locations for destination weddings on TikTok. Greece ranked fifth, with 4,978 TikTok posts highlighting its appeal as a wedding hotspot.
Topping the list is Bali, boasting approximately 22,000 TikTok posts that showcase its stunning beaches and crystal-clear waters. Bali also leads on Instagram, where around 1.4 million posts feature weddings on the island.
Italy follows closely in second place on TikTok, with roughly 19,500 posts tagged #italywedding. Despite being a pricier option, Italy remains a top choice for couples, also leading global Google searches for destination weddings with 122,200 searches over the past year.
Mexico ranks third on TikTok, with 13,500 posts tagged #mexicowedding, encompassing planning advice, venue tours, and celebrity wedding inspirations.
Other favored destinations highlighted in the study include Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Portugal, France, Spain, and Jamaica, rounding out a diverse list of popular wedding locales for UK couples seeking memorable celebrations abroad.
