This £200,000 self-financed investment marks a significant upgrade to the farm’s already impressive offerings, catering to the growing demand for luxurious countryside accommodations and event spaces.
Nestled in the picturesque Northumberland countryside, the new retreat blends rustic charm with contemporary comfort. The cottage boasts a spacious lounge, modern kitchen, and stylish bathroom, providing an ideal escape for couples celebrating weddings, corporate retreats, or special milestone events in an intimate setting.
This addition complements the venue’s existing fairy-tale cottages, part of its widely acclaimed glamping site, creating a diverse range of accommodation options for guests.
Northside Farm, which opened its glamping site in 2012 and transformed its historic 150-year-old barn into a wedding venue in 2016, has steadily grown into one of Northumberland’s most sought-after destinations for weddings and events. Additional expansions include the introduction of four whimsical cottages in 2018 and the Gin Gang in 2019.
Owners Olivia and Ralph Lockey are excited about the new development, believing it will offer a distinctive and much-requested addition to their venue. “We’ve poured our hearts into this project, ensuring every detail enhances our guests’ experience,” they said. “We’re always looking to evolve our offerings to provide a truly unique wedding setting or a corporate space tailored to special occasions.
