LOS ANGELES, CA — Grammy-nominated singer Demi Lovato, 32, has officially tied the knot with Canadian musician and songwriter Jordan “Jutes” Lutes, 34, in a romantic and intimate wedding held on Sunday, May 25, in California, according to Vogue.
The bride wore a custom “pearl white” Vivienne Westwood gown, complete with a corset bodice and a cathedral-length tulle veil for the ceremony. Lovato shared her admiration for the late designer’s work, telling Vogue, “I have been a fan of Vivienne Westwood’s designs for a long time. When I was thinking about what dress style I wanted, I often found myself coming back to Vivienne’s designs—specifically how the silhouettes really complement the curves in your body, and her use of corsets.”
Lovato worked closely with the Westwood team to create the bespoke gown and described the final look as “everything” she had hoped for.
Later in the evening, the singer changed into a second custom Westwood creation—a sleek ivory silk satin column gown featuring a draped corset top and delicate strands of broken pearls cascading from the neckline. “It’s a one-of-a-kind piece that makes me feel so special,” Lovato said.
The couple, who began dating in 2022, celebrated their nuptials with a rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding. The event included a run-through of the ceremony, guided by celebrity event planner Mindy Weiss, followed by an intimate meal with close friends and family.
Lovato had previously expressed her excitement about marrying Lutes in a heartfelt Valentine’s Day post on Instagram earlier this year. “Jordan, I cannot WAIT to marry you!!” she wrote on February 14. “The past 3 years have been the best 3 years of my life and I have you to thank for that. I’m obsessed with your heart, your love and your light. I can’t wait to grow old with you and start a family together.”
The couple first went public with their relationship in August 2022. At the time, a source told PEOPLE, “It’s a really happy and healthy relationship. He’s a super great guy.”
Lutes proposed in a private, intimate setting in Los Angeles on December 16, 2023. Lovato later told PEOPLE in September 2024, “I’ve waited my whole life for him. It’s very grounding to have a partner that is so supportive, so loving, so caring. It’s very easy to stay centered with him because I love him so much and he treats me so amazing.”
The two initially met during a songwriting session for Lovato’s 2022 album Holy Fvck. Their creative chemistry eventually blossomed into a romantic connection.
