For brides-to-be looking to keep wedding costs in check without sacrificing elegance, a DIY solution circulating on TikTok is offering major inspiration. One user’s innovative centerpiece idea—crafted entirely from budget-friendly Dollar Tree supplies—has quickly garnered attention for its affordability and charm.
Nicole, a TikTok creator and DIY enthusiast, shared her experience while searching for cost-effective centerpieces for her own wedding. Initially drawn to a set of 10 gold centerpieces priced at $120 on Amazon, she ultimately decided the expense was too steep. That decision sparked her journey to create stylish alternatives for under $20 in total.
Using supplies from Dollar Tree, Nicole crafted a set of gold centerpiece stands with an upscale appearance. The materials included $1.25 glass bowls (available in bulk on Dollar Tree’s website for $15 per dozen), $1.25 glass candleholders, E6000 glue, and a $5.86 can of gold spray paint from Walmart.
To assemble the pieces, Nicole applied E6000 glue to the top of each candleholder and pressed it against the bottom of a glass bowl, forming a sleek pedestal. After allowing the glued components to set for 24 hours, she finished them off with a coat of gold spray paint, creating elegant stands perfect for floral arrangements or candles.
“It’s a super easy and simple project,” Nicole explained in her video. The response on TikTok was overwhelmingly positive, with viewers praising both the look and the low cost of the DIY creation.
“I think you just saved my wedding budget,” one user commented. Another, a September bride struggling with decor decisions, wrote, “Thank you for sharing!” Others expressed similar appreciation, with one user exclaiming, “Are you a rocket scientist?!” in amazement at the clever design.
Nicole’s project stands as a reminder that style doesn’t have to come at a premium. With creativity and a few affordable materials, couples can create beautiful wedding décor on a budget.
